Rick Steves Response

Rick Steve's chapter was interesting to read. He usually built up to his points, using evidence from his own travels to solidify each point to his readers. While Rick acknowledged his own advantages and how his life in America compared to his travel destinations, he did not condemn his life (and therefore the lives similar to his) for living with money. He did, however, emphasize how it is the duty of people like him to not just walk away unchanged from those sights. Steve, as a travel guide, liked to force his tourists into unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations so they could grow from them. He stressed the point of going into new experiments with an open mind and being willing to move past prejudices.
